Purpose: The purpose of this program certificate is to train the welder to become a welder of plate as opposed to welding pipe.

Occupational Objectives

The occupational objectives of this certificate program are to train the welder to weld plate, using Shielded Metal Arc Welding process (SMAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) , to both a visual and bend test standard. Optional X-ray certification is available at additional cost.
