The Office of Institutional Advancement sponsors two trips to the Virginia General Assembly during the spring semester. Students are nominated and invited to attend.
The day in Richmond begins with a briefing in the state library, where participants learn about the priorities of the Virginia Community College System from Chancellor Dr. Glenn DuBois and his staff members.
The briefing is followed by visits to local legislators in the General Assembly building, where participants have the opportunity to speak about the priorities learned in the briefing.
