PDCCC Regional Workforce Development Center Conference Hall
This formal ceremony is a public event, reflecting upon you, your program of study and the college. For this reason, we request that your behavior reflect the dignity and importance of this occasion. Please be sure to turn off all cell phones. Commencement is the capstone of the academic experience for you, other students, families and friends. Recognition of the rights of others to enjoy the ceremony free from disruptive or inappropriate behavior is appreciated.

“Chat and Chow” Picnic
All graduates are invited to a graduation picnic in the Conference Hall at the PDCCC Regional Workforce Development Center Thursday, May 9, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Many thanks to the Franklin Rotary Club for providing and preparing food items for graduation rehearsal.
Following the cookout on Thursday, May 9, the rehearsal will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Hall at the PDCCC Regional Workforce Developmental Center.
Official diplomas may be picked up from the Admissions Office beginning June 28. If you are picking up your diploma from the Hobbs Suffolk Campus or the Smithfield Center, please notify Barbara Butler or the Franklin Campus Admissions Office.
You order your caps and gowns through PDCCC’s Barnes and Noble. You will be notified when to picked up your cap and gown, announcements, and tickets from Barnes and Noble on each campus via hall monitors, email, and on PDCCC’s web site under Dates Of Interest.
Phi Theta Kappa students may order stoles and tassels from PTK Advisors Jillian Overby 757.569.6729, or Troy Hand, 757.569.6339. They also may be borrowed from the college and picked up from one of the advisors.
If you ordered invitations, they may be picked up with your cap and gown from Barnes and Noble. Tickets also may be retrieved at that time.
Seating in the Conference Hall is limited. Each graduate may invite up to five guests. Having a ticket does not guarantee a seat in the Conference Hall, so arrive early. You will not be able to reserve seats. There will be an overflow area established in the Technology Theater, where guests can view the ceremony on large screens. You may contact the Office of Admissions in Franklin to see if any extra tickets are available from other graduates who are unable to use all of their tickets and have returned them back to admissions. Your name will be placed on a wait list for up to three possible additional guest tickets.
A photographer will be on hand to take graduation photographs. At graduation rehearsal, you will be provided with a website link that you may use to obtain graduation photo orders. This website will have photos, pricing, etc. The link will be available to you no later than Monday, May 13, 2013. You will then be able to select and purchase any photos you wish directly from the photographer. This service is being provided directly to the graduates and their families by the photographer. PDCCC has no liability for or connection to the satisfaction of the service.
