~This ceremony represents the completion of their class work; all students now move to the NCLEX testing phase~
Paul D. Camp Community College’s nursing department held a pinning ceremony at the Regional Workforce Development Center in Franklin on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. The program is designed to recognize the students who have completed the College’s nursing program. The guest speaker was Jonathan Wright, certified registered nurse anesthetist at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Now that their formal studies are complted, all will move into the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses, or NCLEX, testing phase.
Dr. Candace Rogers, Dean of Nursing and Allied Health Program, said, “We are incredibly proud of these students. Their efforts are to be commended. It’s not accomplishing such a task – particularly when many of our students hold down jobs or have parental or other family responsibilities outside of school.”
