Paul D. Camp Community College Honors Women’s History during the Month of March

(Franklin, VA) — In celebration of Women’s History Month, Paul D. Camp Community College’s Office of Student Activities and its SGA will host a meet and greet with Author Dr. Ruth L. Baskerville Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the Regional Workforce Development Center, 100 North College Drive, Franklin.
 
Dr. Baskerville, retired educator and administrator, will highlight the latest of her two published books, “Finding Humor in Grief.”
 
The author earned a bachelor’s degree in Secondary English from the State University College in Fedonia, NY, and her M.A. and Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. During her 42 years in public school education, she has received numerous awards and civic honors.
 
Dr. Baskerville currently serves as chair of the Governing Board at the Pine Hills Community Performing Arts Center in Orlando, which provides fine and performing arts to under-served children. She is also a member of the board of directors of the EarthWeb Foundation, an organization that focuses on health, environmental and educational initiatives.
