LaChelle has quickly demonstrated her ability to manage complex assignments and function well in stressful situations. She is
consistently observed performing hourly rounds and conducting bedside shift reports on her patients.

She assisted the unit in meeting all quality goals for 2011 because of her attention to detail. She listens to her patients, seeks their input, and then she formulates the best plan for them. She has adapted to the role of patient advocate and will do everything she can to ensure her patients are well taken care of. Her peers say she is always willing to help and she constantly peer checks asking, “Are you okay, need anything?”

She even includes leadership. She has been published in the FASEB journal, is a member of Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, deans list, conducted research, was president of the student nurses association and class vice president. She is now back in school working on her goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner and she continues to fine tune her role as a staff nurse.
