The Classified Personnel Association at Paul D. Camp Community College is holding an event to raise money for student scholarships.
The Spring Fling celebration is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Hobbs Suffolk Campus, 271 Kenyon Road. The event features craft and retail vendors, a silent auction, a yard sale, fire and police demonstrations, singing and dancing performances, an egg toss, cornhole tournament, volleyball and sack races.
Children’s activities include an Easter egg hunt for ages 12 and under, Putt Putt golf, a bouncy house and face painting.
“I am encouraging all church and civic groups to bring the kids out to participate in the children’s activities,” said Event Coordinator Karen Jenkins.
Cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs, snow cones and other refreshments will be for sale. In addition, PDCCC nursing students will provide free health screenings and representatives will be on hand to provide information about the college and student clubs.
