Class Number: ARTS 8029
Date: To Be Determined
Times: To be determined
Location: PDCCC Hobbs Suffolk Campus
Take control of your camera and become more creative! Participants will learn techniques to improve their images in the camera, not on the computer! Both film and digital photographers are welcome! After identifying and explaining camera components the class will concentrate on improving composition, controlling point of focus, and learning how to effectively use depth of field (blurred, soft background vs detailed, sharp background). Learn how and when to use flash photography in low light as well as in bright sunlight. First 2 hours will be classroom instruction and then outside shooting 2 hours (Bring brown bag lunch!), wrapping up with classroom to answer questions and elaborate on photo techniques. Bring your camera (with fully charges battery), film/digital media, your instruction manual, and your questions. Each participant will receive a binder of helpful photographic handouts to keep for future reference.
