The TriO Student Support Services program is a federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education (ED) for more than 30 years at Camp Community College. We are proud of our relationship with the college community, ED, and the success rate of our graduates. SSS is funded with a yearly-itemized budget to serve 180 students at Camp. Our goal is to increase the probability that students will successfully complete their educational goals. The SSS staff is committed to our mission to promote student success by increasing student retention, graduation and transfer rates and fostering a supportive institutional climate.

SSS provides students with academic skills and resources, such as tutoring; guidance for students who plan to transfer after completing an associate degree; help with FAFSA and other college processes and requirements; and support for students with disabilities. SSS is an important pipeline supporting first-generation, low-income and disabled students to accomplish their educational goals. We are committed to assist students in their persistence, good academic standing, graduation/transfer and the campus climate.

SSS offers cultural trips, academic/financial workshops, and grant/aid funds to eligible students. Students may refer themselves to the program or be referred by an advisor, instructor, or other staff members. Applications are available in the SSS office in Franklin and Suffolk or click on the link to complete the application online. Students who are interested in receiving free tutoring can email triosss@pdc.edu to receive assistance in many of their studies.

The SSS staff is ready to assist you.
