Any covered individual may attend or participate in their course of education at Paul D. Camp Community College (Camp) during the period beginning on the date on which the individual provides to the college VA Certifying Official a certificate of eligibility for entitlement to educational assistance under either chapter 31 or 33 (“certificate of eligibility” may include a statement of benefits from the VA website or VAF 28-1905) and ending on the earlier of either a) The date on which payment from VA is made to the institution or b) 90 days after the date the institution certified tuition and fees following the receipt of the certificate of eligibility.
In addition to the certificate of eligibility, the student must submit the following pieces of documentation to the VA Certifying Official in order to be covered under this policy:
- Current class schedule
- An advisement transcript which includes current classes
- A Chapter 33/31 Veterans Affairs Class Hold Request
Under this policy, Camp will not impose any penalty, including the assessment of late fees; denial of access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a covered individual borrow additional funds because of the student’s inability to pay for tuition due to a delayed disbursement from the VA under chapter 31 or 33.
