Quality Enhancement Plan

As part of the continued commitment to a quality education and in order to be in full compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Paul D. Camp Community College will be implementing a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).  The Quality Enhancement Plan is an ongoing process that is used to improve student learning after accreditation is reaffirmed which is on a five-year review cycle.  Per the official SACS definition, the QEP is “a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses a well-defined topic or issue(s) related to enhancing student learning.”

QEP Goals

Paul D. Camp Community College’s QEP is focusing on the quality assurance in online instruction for student success.  In particular, Paul D. Camp Community College’s QEP will implement the following:

  • A systematic plan for best practices for online courses to promote student success
  • A dynamic systematic training plan to ensure faculty preparedness for teaching online courses
  • A systematic plan to ensure student preparedness for taking online courses
  • Student Support Services for online courses that includes but is not limited to academic advisement, counseling and financial aide

QEP Status Update

To improve the overall distance education environment that will be reflected in student retention, persistence to online course completion, and compliance with the VCCS initiatives to increase distance education opportunities.
