Truck Driver Training class starts for November 18 – January 21, 2018 weekend course

Learn to drive the big rigs and prepare for the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) test. Companies are experiencing a shortage of drivers. PDCCC’s professional truck driving program consists of classroom instruction, various backing maneuvers, equipment and safety checks and on-the-road training. This comprehensive 160-hour program not only provides the skills you need, it also includes lifetime free job placement assistance to graduates and lifetime refresher training.

The training school length is 4 weeks for a total of 160 hours (80 hours classroom and 80 hours hands-on) at Paul D. Camp Community College’s Hobbs Suffolk Campus, 271 Kenyon Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. The class will meet Saturday and Sunday 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The class day is structured very close to a normal workday. Pre-trip inspections, keeping logbooks updated, and constant backing up and twisting and turning to maneuver the trucks will become habit.
