In this class you will work to obtain a Virginia Career Readiness Certificate (CRC), an OSHA 10 certification, obtain basic computer, employability and soft skills, and participate in forklift, clamp truck and reach truck driving drills and receive your certificate of completion.

Registration Deadline for Non-credit Classes:
Participants enrolling into a non-credit class must have all registration documents and tuition fees submitted by 4:00 p.m. two (2) business days prior to class start date.

WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate: The ACT WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is an assessment-based credential. The CRC includes the Reading for Information, Applied Math and Locating Information assessments. The CRC measures and certifies the essential work skills needed for success in jobs across industries and occupations.

OSHA 10 General Industry: The 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Training will emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.

Forklift, Clamp, and Reach Truck Operator: Learn about the forklift, clamp truck, and reach truck, OSHA safety requirements and participant in hands-on driving drills on the forklift, clamp truck, and reach truck. Participant will receive classroom and operational certificates.

Employability Skills: This course will touch on these topics Introduction to Soft Skills, Time Management, Understanding Your Values, Effective Communication, Conflict Management, Teamwork Dynamics, Ethics in the Workplace, Valuing Diversity in the Workplace, Understanding Workplace Sexual Harassment, Professionalism, Stress Management, and Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.
