Program Purpose:

This program is designed to prepare students for employment in the area of installation, maintenance, and calibration of devices used in the automation of industrial processes.

What will I learn?

Students successfully completing this program will be able to…

• Use a variety of electrical instruments to measure voltage, current and electrical resistance.
• Identify a variety of schematic symbols and how to interpret schematic drawings.
• Troubleshoot and repair a system at the component or circuit level.
• Discuss and demonstrate the knowledge of electrical and other controls used in home and industry.

How long will I need to be in college?

A college-ready student attending Camp full-time can complete this career studies certificate in two semesters.

What job or career can I get with this career studies certificate?

Upon completion of the program, graduates will possess the knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions as construction and maintenance Instrument Technicians, Instrument and Electrical Technicians, Process Technicians, Contract Technicians as well as Sales and Service Representatives.

What is the job outlook for graduates from this program?
