The Heavy Equipment Operator program serves to meet the growing demand for equipment operators in the construction industry. Students will earn an industry-recognized credential for each level of training. In the Heavy Equipment Operator Level 1 training, students will learn equipment safety, basic operational techniques, basic earthmoving, interpretation of civil drawings, the basics of loading, unloading, excavating, and trenching, and more! Students receive hands-on training while using simulators that replicate real-life operating scenarios through rotation-motion platforms and high-resolution 3D displays for excavator and wheel loader equipment. The Level 1 training also includes NCCER Core Craft.
