*An extended period of time, up to 90 days after the class completion date, will be allowed to complete clinicals and certification.

** Tuition includes all course materials, Board of Nursing Application Fee, and 1 PSI Medication Aide Certification Test Fee.

Applicants for the Medication Aide course are selected by the Fast Track Healthcare Program coordinator based on application criteria.  Applicants must provide proof of completion of a Nurse Aide course or a 40-hour DCA or PCA course. Students must be 18 years or older and have earned a high school diploma or GED.  

This course prepares you to administer medications in Assisted Living Facilities. Learn and develop skills in proper procedure for preparing, administering, and maintaining medications; Asepsis, Basic pharmacology; Assisting client with self-administration of medication; and Documentation. The class is an in-person class at Camp Regional Workforce Development Center in Franklin. Clinicals will be conducted at an approved off-site assisted living facility.
